My husband and I would like to congratulate our daughter and her boyfriend on there brand new baby girl! She was born Sunday at 2:58pm. She is 8 pounds and 1 oz, 19 1/2 inches long. She has lots of medium brown hair – She is BEAUTIFUL!! We are so proud of both of you!! You will be awesome parents.
Saturday the 24th, I woke up at 6:00, not sure why so early on a Saturday, but I was up. I cleaned in the morning. My husband and I shopped in the afternoon. When we got home, we through the steaks on the grill, we invited our daughter and her boyfriend for steaks. After supper my daughter was kind of squirmy, I asked her what was wrong, she said she thought she was in labor. Well, we were timing and yep, she was in labor. The contractions were 3-6 minutes apart. We got to the hospital around 11:30 that night. She was in labor throughout the early hours of Sunday morning. She would make some progress on dialating, then she would stall out once she got some pain meds. She finally got an epidural, that really stalled the labor.
She finally was dialated to 10, after 16 1/2 hours, she was able to push. She pushed for 1 1/2 hours, nothing. Her doctor came in and told her if she wanted to try to keep pushing, she could, otherwise he was okay with doing a csection. So she did choose to have a csection. The doctor came in after surgery and said she could have pushed for 2 days, she was NOT delivering that little girl. She was face up and wedged just so, there was no way she was going to be able to push her out, so it was a great decision to go ahead with the csection.
She was born Sunday afternoon at 2:58pm. Her boyfriend wheeled the baby out of the operating room, he came out with a smile from ear to ear. What a proud daddy! She looks just like her daddy!!
We finally left the hospital at 7:30 that night. I was up for over 37 hours and was totally exhausted! I can’t imagine how my daughter felt. She was amazing!!! I couldn’t be more proud of both her and her boyfriend!!
She is my 2nd grandchild and loved very much!! Nana sure loves her little girls-
