ABOUT

This blog is about my personal path as a grandparent obtaining legal guardianship and raising our grandchild. The path has been a struggle, but well worth it. She is our pride & joy!!! Photobucket

Winter Wonderland

This past weekend, we went up north like we do so often.
The main reason for visiting our families up north this past
weekend is because my in-laws were celebrating their 50th
wedding anniversary. (Happy Anniversary Ma & Pa Tesch!!!)

We do not have snow yet where we live, however; up north,
there was about 2 inches of snow on the ground. On Friday night,
it snowed some more, so when we woke up Saturday morning,
there was about 4 or so inches on the ground. Our princess
asked so nicely if she could go play outside in the snow. Of
course, I said yes. I got her all dressed in her hot pink winter
coat, matching snow pants, mittens, and her hat. She looked
so cute!!

We went outside with my nephew to make a snow man and
make a snow fort. It was beautiful outside. It was actually 36
degrees and sunny! PERFECT snowman making weather!

We were outside for about an hour or so, got a snowman done
and a cute fort. I wasn’t invited in the fort, I was told it was
for “kids only”.

Our princess had such a GREAT time!!

We left to come back Sunday, after it had snowed another
few inches. The snow was hanging on the trees. Thank
goodness the roads were in good shape. It was beautiful
driving.

When we got back home, we had NO snow at all. Our
princess asked to go back up north so she could play
in the snow again. She was upset we wouldn’t drive 2 hours
back up north to play in the snow.

I hope you enjoy your “winter wonderland!!”
